FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks Nordic ski team will hit the road to Bozeman, Montana this weekend for the RMISA Championships.

Last Time Out
The Nanooks Nordic ski team last competed at the Utah Invitational in Salt Lake City, Utah on Feb. 14 and Feb. 15. While it was not the best showing for the Nanooks as a team, it still held strong races out of certain individuals. On day one,
Mariel Pulles and
Tristan Sayre led the way for the 'Nooks as the top finishers in the women's and men's races. On day two, Pulles led the way again for the women's team while
Christopher Kalev led the way for the Nanooks.
Full Team
The Nanooks will look to qualify a full team to the NCAA Championships this weekend. With five tickets punched to the postseason, the 'Nooks are in search of a third female qualifier to be able to compete in the team category.
Racers
On the women's side of the race,
Sarah Olson,
Catherine Reed-Metayer,
Sage Robine,
Anja Maijala, Rya Berrigan and Hannah Deuling will compete in a 5km skate on Friday, Feb. 28 and will race in a 15km classic race on Saturday, Feb. 29.
On the men's side,
Logan Mowry,
Tristan Sayre,
Lukash Platil,
Christopher Kalev,
Karl Danielson and
Mike Ophoff will be competing in a 10km skate on Friday the 28th and a 20km classic race on Saturday the 29th.
