Letuligasenoa to Serve as Associate Director of Athletic Corporate Sponsorships

FAIRBANKS, Alaska – On Saturday, University of Alaska Fairbanks vice chancellor for student affairs and athletics Dr. Keith Champagne announced that Nona Letuligasenoa will now serve as the associate director for athletic corporate sponsorships for the Alaska Nanooks.

11449Letuligasenoa, a hometown product of Fairbanks, has served as the Alaska Nanooks assistant athletic director of communications since July 2016. Prior to her time in the sports information office, Letuligasenoa served as the Alaska Nanooks marketing assistant from 2014-16.

"I am excited and honored to have Nona's expertise, knowledge base and skillset utilized and employed in the athletics department," Champagne said. "We are thrilled to have her lead our athletic communications, community engagements, corporate sponsorships and marketing initiatives and strategies."

In her new position, Letuligasenoa will handle all fundraising, corporate partnerships and fulfillments. Letuligasenoa will also supervise and oversee the Alaska Nanooks marketing, community engagement and sports information offices.

As the assistant athletic director for communications, Letuligasenoa oversaw all communication and media efforts for each of the 10 varsity athletic programs, while also maintaining alaskananooks.com and all social media channels related to the Alaska Nanooks.

Letuligasenoa's change in position within the department of athletics is one of many, as Terlynn Olds was recently promoted to Executive Associate Senior Director. The changes are aligned with the new integration of athletics and the division of student affairs.

"The new integration between athletics and the division of student affairs will help us improve our effectiveness, efficiency and overall approach to managing intercollegiate athletics at UAF," Champagne added."
