FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks Department of Athletics will be hosting an Open House at the Patty Center on Friday, Sept. 6 from 5-7:30 p.m. AKT. The event is free and open to the public.

The Alaska Nanooks are inviting any alumni, boosters, fans, program supporters and any community members who are curious about the day-to-day activities that happen within the department to stop by. The Nanooks are also encouraging guests to bring questions that UAF leadership and Athletics staff are more than happy to answer.

The event will allow guests to tour the facilities at the Patty Center, including the new varsity weight room, the E.F. Horton Rifle Range, the Patty Pool deck, the Alaska Airlines Court and the newly constructed locker rooms for men's basketball, women's basketball, men's and women's cross country running and Nordic skiing and volleyball.

Guests will have a chance to meet the 2019-20 Alaska Nanooks student-athletes, mingle with coaches and administrative staff and meet the newest members of the Athletics Department. Our coaches, student-athletes and staff will also be on hand to guide guests through the renovations and answer any questions guests may have about the upcoming season.

The Alaska Nanooks Ticketing Office will be open to assist with answering any questions in regards to season tickets.

There will be snacks and refreshments available.
