FAIRBANKS, Alaska – After a six year hiatus, the Alaska Nanooks coed rifle team will be hosting the sixth annual Nanook Clay Classic on Saturday, Aug. 24, as announced by the program's head coach Layne Lewis on Tuesday.

The 2019 Nanook Clay Classic will take place at the Fairbanks Trap Club, the event's presenting sponsor, located on the corner of Hagelbarger Ave. and the Old Steese Highway.

Registration begins at 1:00 p.m., and the first shots will be fired at 1:30 pm.

To participate, the fee is $60 for an individual and $300 for a team. All the proceeds from this event will directly go to benefit the Alaska Nanooks rifle team.

The competition will include one round of singles and one round of midrange handicap, while also mixing in trap shooting games. Prizes will be awarded to individuals and teams, while door prizes will also be given out to participants.

Registration for the 2019 Nanook Clay Classic will be conducted day-of at the Fairbanks Trap Club.
