FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks Student Athlete Advisory Committee in conjunction with the Alaska Nanooks Athletic Department will be hosting the first-ever Nanook Student-Athlete Achievement Awards on Friday, March, 22^nd 2019. The event will be held in the Westmark Gold Room with check-in starting at 6:30pm AKST, and  the program is set to start at 7:00pm AKST. Dress is semi-formal.

This event will reflect back on the 2018-2019 season's highlights. The program includes an awards ceremony recognizing the Nanook's accomplishments in the classroom and in competition and a senior reflection by Alaska Nanooks basketball player, Joe Lendway.

"This is set to be a great event," said SAAC secretary and rifle team member, Grace Nelson on Wednesday. "A lot of people have been working very hard on this project to make this the event of the year."
