BILLINGS, Mont. – The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team dropped a Great Northwest Athletic Conference contest on the road on Thursday night, falling 84-65 to the Montana State University Billings Yellowjackets at the Alterowitz Gymnasium. The loss drops Alaska's overall record to 3-17 and 0-14 in GNAC play, while the Yellowjackets improve to 10-9 on the season and 6-7 in conference matchups.

- Alaska outscored their opponent 21-16 in the fourth quarter, but the Yellowjackets edged the Nooks 14-12, 22-17 and 32-15 in the first, second and third quarter, respectively, to pull away from the Nanooks.
- Alaska shot 35.8 percent from the field (19-for-53), 36.8 percent from outside (7-for-19) and 74.1 percent from the free throw line (20-for-27).
- Alaska pulled down five offensive and 22 defensive rebounds total 27 boards on the night, while MSUB dominated play around the bucket, collecting 20 offensive and 32 defensive rebounds for 52 total.
- The Nooks also picked up 14 assists, seven blocks and seven steals.
Alaska Leaders
- Junior forward Kylie Wallace led all Alaska players offensively on Thursday, shooting 6-for-11 from the floor, 2-for-3 from three-point range and 6-for-7 from the free throw line for a team-best 20 points.
- It marks Wallace's fourth game this season of earning 20-or-more points in a single contest.
- The Petersburg, Alaska native also chipped in three assists and one steal in 34 minutes on the floor.
- Senior forward Ashlie Blackburn posted a career night against the Yellowjackets, recording her first double-double as a Nanook with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
- Blackburn shot 3-for-12 from the floor and 9-for-10 from the free throw line, while pulling down four offensive and 10 defensive boards against the Yellowjackets.
- Blackburn also registered a single-game career-best five blocks and five steals, while adding two assists in 28 minutes on the court.
- Four Nooks each picked up a team-best three assists on Thursday.

The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team will be back in action next week, as they host Western Oregon on Thursday, Feb. 14 and Concordia on Saturday, Feb. 16. Both GNAC contests will take place at the Alaska Airlines Court, with Thursday's game set for 7pm AKST and Saturday's slated for 1pm AKST.
