FAIRBANKS, Alaska – After two weeks on the road, the Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team returns to their home court this week for a pair of Great Northwest Athletic Conference contests in Fairbanks. The Nanooks will host the Saint Martin's Saints on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7pm AKST before taking on the Seattle Pacific Falcons on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 2pm AKST.

Last Time Out
The Nanooks split on the road last week, falling to Western Oregon 94-78 on Thursday in Monmouth before snapping a nine-game losing streak with a 63-61 victory over Concordia on Saturday in Portland. The win marks the Nanooks' first since defeating Anchorage 68-67 in overtime on Dec. 8 at home.
GNAC Standings
Alaska sits tied for 10th place in the GNAC standings with Concordia, each with a 2-10 conference mark. The Nanooks' weekend opponents, Saint Martin's (10-2 GNAC) and Seattle Pacific (8-4 GNAC), sits tied for first and fourth place in the GNAC rankings, respectively.

- Junior guard Tymoryae Glover had another impressive week for the Nanooks, scoring 51 points in the two games while shooting 60 percent from the field and 93 percent from the free throw line. Glover finished with 20 points at Western Oregon, making 6-of-13 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free throw line. He then led all scorers with 31 points at Concordia, making 12-of-17 from the field and 7-of-7 from the line. Glover leads and is 11th in the GNAC with 13.6 points per game.
- Junior guard Spencer Sweet added 33 points and had 13 rebounds on the road trip. He led all scorers at Western Oregon with 25 points to go with seven rebounds, making 7-of-12 from the field, 4-of-5 from three-point range and 7-of-7 from the free throw line. Sweet then finished with eight points and six rebounds at Concordia. Sweet is averaging 12.5 points per game and is tied for 16th in Division II with a .900 free throw percentage.
- Alaska enters the week averaging 71.3 points and 32.2 rebounds per game. The Nanooks are second in the GNAC in free throw percentage (.746).

The Alaska Nanooks trail the all-time series against Saint Martin's 41-47, with the first meeting between the two teams resulting in a 96-75 loss for the Nanooks in the 1957-58 season. Alaska is currently riding a two-game losing streak to the Saints, with their last victory coming as a 78-71 decision at home on Jan. 6, 2018. In their last meeting, the Nooks fell 87-80 to SMU on Jan. 10 in Lacey, Washington.
Against the Seattle Pacific Falcons, Alaska trails the all-time series 16-65. The first meeting between the two teams came as a 67-55 loss for the Nanooks sometime in the 1958-59 season. The Nanooks are currently riding a six-game losing streak to the Falcons, with their last win coming as a 79-75 decision on the road on Jan. 2, 2016. SPU captured their last meeting, defeating the Nanooks 79-62 on the road in Seattle on Jan. 10.
Scouting the Opponent – Saint Martin's
After picking up a 57-53 win over Western Washington last Thursday, Saint Martin's saw its seven-game win streak come to an abrupt halt with a 61-59 home loss to Simon Fraser on Saturday. Saint Martin's enters the week averaging 78.4 points and 33.8 rebounds per game. The Saints lead the GNAC and are 26th in Division II with 10.70 three-pointers per game. They also lead the GNAC With 8.30 steals per game.
Scouting the Opponent – Seattle Pacific
Seattle Pacific Posted a pair of solid wins at home last week, collecting a 92-76 win over Simon Fraser on Thursday and a 91-75 victory over Western Washington on Saturday. Seattle Pacific is averaging 80.6 points per game and is third in the GNAC with 37.6 rebounds per game. The Falcons are second in the GNAC and 20th in Division II with a .493 field goal percentage. Seattle Pacific is also 17th in DII in fewest turnovers (215) and 29th in fewest fouls (302).
