Portland, Oregon – The Alaska Nanooks defeated the Concordia Cavaliers 63-61 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play at the Cavalier Court on Saturday. The win improves Alaska's overall record to 5-14 and 2-10 in the GNAC, while the Cavaliers drop to 7-13 overall and 2-10 in conference play.

Alaska shot 45.3 percent (24-53) from the floor, 23.5 percent from three (4-17) and 84.6 percent from the free throw line (11-13).
The Nooks collected 24 defensive rebounds and seven offensive for a total of 31 rebounds.
Alaska also had five blocks and five steals with eight assists.

Junior guard
Tymoryae Glover led all players with 31 points shooting 12-17 from the field and 7-7 at the free throw line.
Glover also grabbed five rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes.

Spencer Sweet led the team in rebounds with six total collecting one offensive and five defensive rebounds.
Next Time Out
The Alaska Men's Basketball team will head back home to face the Saint Martin's Saints on Thursday (Feb. 7) at 7pm AKST and Seattle Pacific on Saturday (Feb. 9) at 2pm AKST on the Alaska Airlines Court at the Patty center.
