Last Time Out
The Alaska Nanooks hockey team is coming off a road split with the Northern Michigan Wildcats. The Nanooks and the Wildcats first squared off in Marquette on Nov. 15. The Wildcats grabbed the first game win, 1-2, behind one goal in the first period, and one goal in the second period.
James LaDouce scored the only goal for the Alaska.
On Nov. 16, the 'Nooks got their revenge behind goals from Markus Komuls,
Steven Jandric, and
Justin Young, whose goals gave Alaska the 3-2 victory.
No Place Like Home
Coming off a weekend trip to Michigan, the Alaska Nanooks will be enjoying home ice for the next two weekends. This 'Nooks will be home this weekend against Ferris State, and back at the Carlson Center next weekend against Michigan Tech.

After the series split with Northern Michigan, the Alaska received four more votes in the USCHO Hockey Poll, bringing the Alaska Nanooks to a total of nine votes.

All-Time Series
The Bulldogs lead the all-time series against the 'Nooks 17-13-6 with games dating back to 2001 when the teams first faced off against each other. The last matchup between the two teams resulted in a 6-2 win for Alaska on Dec. 1, 2018.
Scouting the Opponent – Ferris State Bulldogs
The Bulldogs are coming off a 2-1 win and a 4-1loss at home against Bemidji State on Friday, Nov.15 and Saturday, Nov.16. The home split leaves FSU at 3-8-0 overall and gave them their first conference win of the season, sitting at 1-5-0-0 in conference play.
Ferris State is led in points by freshman, defenseman, Jake Willet, who has nine points on the season with one goal and eight assists. Behind him is senior, defenseman, Nate Kallen, who has eight points on the season with three goals and five assists. The top goaltender for the Bulldogs is sophomore, Roni Salmenkangas, who has played the most minutes and currently holds a save percentage of .854, a win percentage of .200(1-4), and a goals allowed average of 4.75.
