Last Time Out
The Alaska Nanooks volleyball team is coming off of a trip to Alaska Anchorage and then Montana State, Billings. Unfortunately on Oct. 22 the Nanooks fell in five-sets to their in-state rivals at Anchorage but regrouped and won a comeback five-set match against MSUB to end their four game losing-streak moving to 10-10, 7-5 GNAC on the season.

Where to Watch
For the fans who are unable to make the volleyball games in Ellensburg, Wash. and Nampa, Idaho this weekend can find live stats and free video in the links above. Both games can also be found in the Alaska Stretch Internet Portal. Game day posts will provide links to the live stats and streams as well. While on the road the Nanooks will not be producing the video streams, they will be done by the opposing schools.

Ending the Streak
The Alaska volleyball team ended their short four game losing-streak last Saturday in a five-setter with the Yellow Jackets from Billings. After falling behind 1-2 in the set lead, the Nanooks found the momentum swing and took sets four and five to claim the win while on the road. The game in Montana was also the team's third straight five-set match and ninth of the season.

Killing the Game
The win against Montana State, Billings was behind the constant attack from AveRee Reynolds, Lahra Weber and Kim Wong. Combined the three had 37 kills. Wong led the way for Alaska checking in with 13 of those kills and swung an insane .571 percentage. Weber and Reynolds were right behind her, as both accounted for 12 kills. Reynolds had a .139 swing percentage on 36 total attacks and Weber swung .206 off 34 total attacks. Cate Whiting set all three of them up for success as the Jr., setter claimed 41 assists along the way.

Break Out the Brooms?
The Nanooks will go for a season-sweep of CWU on Halloween. They took the first matchup in Fairbanks on Oct. 5 winning that match in five-sets. The Alaska volleyball team will be looking for their first back-to-back victories against Central Washington since 2009-10 when they won on Oct. 24, 2009 and again on Oct. 9, 2010. They will also be looking for the first season-sweep of the Wildcats.

Sweet, Sweet Revenge
The Nanooks will look to get revenge on the Nighthawks of Northwest Nazarene after NNU came into Fairbanks and knocked off the Nanooks, giving them their first GNAC loss of the season at the time. That game also went five-sets on Oct. 3. Alaska will also be looking for their second win in the last three matchups with NNU having won on Nov. 8, 2018 before falling earlier in Oct.
