PORTLAND, Ore. – The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team fell in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action on Thursday night, dropping a 77-51 decision to the Concordia Cavaliers at the LCEF Court. The loss drops the Nanooks to 3-10 overall and 0-7 in conference play, while the Cavaliers improve to 7-8 on the season and 2-5 in league matchups.

Coach's Comment
"Our lack of consistent play hurt us tonight. We played well in spurts but any time we didn't execute offensively, our defensive play cost us. We didn't take care of the ball well enough tonight. We will look to improve upon that on Saturday at Western Oregon." – head coach Kerri Nakamoto

  • Junior forward Kylie Wallace was the only other Alaska player to record double-digit points on Thursday, picking up 11.
  • Redshirt-junior guard Sabrina Ungaro led all Alaska players in assists and steals with three and two, respectively.

The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team will continue GNAC play on the road, taking on the Western Oregon Wolves on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the New P.E. Building in Monmouth, Oregon. Tip-off is set for 1pm AKST.
