PORTLAND, Ore. – The Alaska Nanooks volleyball team suffered a three-set sweep on Thursday, falling to the Concordia Cavaliers in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match at the LCEF Court in Portland. Alaska went 19-25, 22-25 and 21-25 against the Cavs, dropping their overall record to 10-12 and 8-7 in conference play, while Concordia improves to 10-11 on the season and 7-8 in league matchups.

The loss marks the first time since Sept. 20-22 that Alaska has lost two conference matches in back-to-back appearances.

Individually, Alaska was led by sophomore outside hitter Lahra Weber led Alaska's offense with a match-high 16 kills. Weber only tallied five errors off of 38 total attacks, totaling a team-best hitting percentage of .289. The Berlin, Germany native also registered her seventh double-double of the season with 13 digs for 16.0 points.

Redshirt-sophomore outside hitter Markie Miller was the only other Alaska player to collect double-digit kills, totaling 13 on the night. Miller also chipped in two aces, one block assist and one dig for 15.5 points.

Sophomore setter Cate Whiting posted a match-high 33 assists, while also picking up nine digs and three block assists.

At the net, junior middle blocker Kim Wong posted one solo block and six block assists, while also picking up three kills for 7.0 points.
