FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team's third-quarter comeback fell short on Saturday, as the Nooks dropped a Great Northwest Athletic Conference matchup 46-38 to the Western Washington Vikings at the Alaska Airlines Court. The loss drops Alaska's overall record to 4-14 and 0-12 in GNAC contests, while the Vikings improve to 8-12 on the season and 4-8 in league games.

Coaches Corner
"I couldn't be more proud of these guys, I mean, Sanni had a great game tonight. I thought our defense was ready to go tonight. Their number 15 is a great player and I thought we played her well and kept her to a minimum as much as we could. We did a lot better contesting three-pointers and really, I thought these ladies played their hardest tonight. Our offense wasn't great tonight and I take full responsibility for that." – head coach Brett Sawyer said on Saturday.
