@NanooksHockey Receives Scholarship Endowment from Hockey Alumni Association

FAIRBANKS, Alaska – Last weekend, the Alaska Nanooks Hockey Alumni Association presented the Alaska Hockey program with a $50,000 donation toward the endowment of a UAF Hockey Scholarship. As the Alumni Association's continued support to the long-term success of Alaska Hockey, Hockey

Alumni President Scott Roselius, Treasurer Keith Swarner and board member Scott Keyes presented the check to UAF Chancellor Dana Thomas and Director of Athletics Dr. Gary Gray at Saturday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest against Lake Superior State last Saturday evening at the Carlson Center.

The Alaska Nanooks Hockey Alumni Association is an organization comprised of former players, coaches and staff who work together to support the hockey program. Their goal is to reconnect alumni and raise funds through various projects and events in an effort to help the program continue to evolve and grow. From yearly golf outings and other fundraising events, the Hockey Alumni Assoication also contributes to the in-game experience, such as the additions of the box suites and the player banners at the Carlson Center.

The Alaska Nanooks hockey team takes on the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves tonight at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage at 7:07pm AKST.
