-
Rookie goalie John Keeney ranks 10th nationally (3rd for CCHA netminders) with a 1.78 GAA and sophomore Sean Cahill is 24th at 2.22. Keeney's save percentage of .935 also ranks 13th for Division I netminders. Friday night he recorded his second career victory and his first career assist.
-
Alaska has had a balanced offense thus far this season with 18-of-22 players notching one or more points in the first 12 games of the season. Four players are tied for the team lead with eight points, including four goals and four assists by JR Colton Beck, FR Tyler Morley and SR Andy Taranto, and six more have at least five points already.
-
Senior captain Adam Henderson is leading the Nanooks in the faceoff circle with 151 wins and a .570 win efficiency.
-
Five of JR Colton Beck's eight points this season have been notched on the power play, which ranks him second in CCHA play with 3-2—5, and all eight of them have been scored in the eight league games played thus far.
-
Alaska scored six goals in Friday's win over #9 Western Michigan, marking the most goals this season and since a 6-3 home win against Notre Dame on Jan. 27, 2012. It marked the 13th time under head coach Dallas Ferguson that the Nanooks scored five or more goals in a game.

Rookies Nolan Huysmans (2g, 2a) and Tyler Morley (1g, 3a) and their senior linemate Jarret Granberg (1g, 1a) accounted for half of the Nanooks points (8g, 12a) scored in the weekend split against the Broncos.
