The Alaska volleyball team lost to Western Washington for the second time this season—this time on a clean 3-0 sweep (14-25, 14-25, 14-25) in Bellingham.
The Nanooks never managed to score better than 14 points in a set. They never mustered a lead aside from a 6-4 advantage early on in set two. That lead was erased by a five-point run by Western Washington.
Simone Chavous led the offense with eight kills.
Tereza Bendlova led with defense with 10 digs.
The Nanooks combined for a .053 hitting percentage to Western Washington's .295.
The loss drops Alaska to 5-13 (3-9 GNAC). They will host Seattle Pacific Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Patty Center.
