The Alaska volleyball team started its match against first-place Seattle Pacific the right way—on a kill by
Mandy Grierson that put them up 1-0. But they would not regain another lead until midway through the second set.
The Nanooks (4,9, 2-5 GNAC) lost their fourth straight dating back to Sept. 23. Seattle Pacific remains undefeated at 7-0 in GNAC play—the best start in program history.
Seattle Pacific used five separate rallies of three points or better, including a six-point run, to close the match with 16-point win in set three.
The Nanooks finished with a .105 hitting percentage to Seattle Pacific's .277.
Tereza Bendlova led the Nanooks with 11 kills. She also led the defense with 11 digs.
Marybeth Wikander finished with a team-best three blocks.
The Nanooks return home for a Thursday match against Northwest Nazarene. First serve is at 7 p.m. at the Patty Center.
