2008: 5th on team in kills per game (1.36)...recorded Career high of 9 kills and a .368 hitting percentage against WWU on Nov. 13...recorded 8 out of 16 kills with only three errors to hit a .312 hitting percentage, 10 digs, and 3 blocks at SMU on Oct. 4...recorded eight kills in a win against St. Cloud State on Sept. 5...earned the 2008 Team unsung hero award along with her classmate Marybeth Wikander.

Prior to Alaska: Two-time captain and three-time Most Valuable Player for the Buffaloes volleyball team, which finished the 2007 season with a 14-10 Class 3A record and 6-5 mark in the Metropolitan Conference...as a senior at BMCHS, Chavous garnered Metro League first team honors and received honorable mention for the Colorado All-State team...Metro League second team selection as a junior...member of Juggernaut Volleyball Club...played for the Under-18 team that took 13th place at the AAU Girls[apos] Junior National Volleyball Championship (18 Open Division) in the summer of 2007.

Personal: Daughter of Tim and Barbara Chavous...one brother, Christopher...majoring in Biological Science.
