Attended Edmonds-Woodway High School and played basketball there. Also played for EBC Elite. In basketball at EWHS, Waram was a Second Team All-WESCO selection both her junior and senior seasons. She was the varsity girls basketball captain her sophomore through senior season. She was also a First Team All-WESCO shot putter her junior and senior seasons.
