Biography

2012-13 as a senior: Named an assistant captain...Played in 36 games...Recorded three goals and seven assists totaling 10 points...Ended career with three goals and 16 assists for the Nanooks...Garnered two team awards including the Rick Pitta Most Dedicated Player and the Ryan Reinheller Humanitarian for the second consecutive year...Continued volunteer and fundraising efforts for With All Your Heart campaign...Repeat nominee for the national Hockey Humanitarian award and was one of five finalists...Ranked first in CCHA and third in NCAA Division I for his part in Nanooks penalty kill unit with an 89.9% efficiency...Finished career 3-16--19.

2011-12 as a junior: Played in 26 games this season for the Nanooks...Tallied three points on three assists...Attempted 24 shots and finished the season with 34 blocks...First assist of the season occured during the Nanooks Oct. 14th 5-2 win over Mercyhurst...At the conclusion of the season, Odegard received the Ryan Reinheller Humanitarian award for his efforts in co-founding the With All Your Heart hospital campaign. 

2010-11 as a sophmore: Played in 28 games with the Nanooks; only assist for the season was during the season opening 5-2 win against Air Force Oct. 8; recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

2009-10 as a freshman: Played in 29 games; earned first college assist on Oct. 16 against Robert Morris; had five games with at least one point.

Prior to Alaska: In 2007-08 was an Assistant Captain for the Canmore Eagles recording three goals and 25 assists for 28 points and 72 penalty minutes in 29 games played; was traded out to Penticton in the BCHL where he recorded one goal and eight assists for nine points in 16 games; 2006-2007 played for the Red Deer Optimist Rebels and had three goals and 12 assists for 15 points with 69 penalty minutes in 33 regular season games; had one goal and six assists in ten playoff games; helped his hometown Red Deer Optimist Rebels become Silver Medallists in the AAA Midget national finals Telus Cup, when he was the top scoring defenseman; second Eagle defenseman to wear a Nanooks jersey, following the path of Darcy Campbell (2004-07).
