Prior to Alaska: Played one season with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL; voted the Bulldogs Unsung Hero; played two seasons (2006-08) for the South East Blades of the MJHL; played in the top prospects game as a rookie in 2006-07.

Personal: Son of James and Leslie Rundell; has three siblings, Travis, Renee and Krystal; currently majoring in General Studies.
