Casey Mignone is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Nanooks hockey program in 2024-25.
Mignone joined the 'Nooks bench in 2023-24 from the Chippewa Steel in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) where he has spent the previous two seasons as the GM/Head Coach. Under his direction, Chippewa went 56-56-8 with a playoff appearance in 2022-23 after he led them to a 31-25-4 record. They finished fourth in the Midwest Division before their season came to an end when they were swept by the #1-seed Wisconsin Windigo.
Prior to Chippewa, Mignone spent 2019-21 in St. Cloud, Minn. with the St. Cloud Blizzard/Norsemen in the NAHL as the Associate Head Coach. He's also made stops at the NA3HL, serving as the GM/Head Coach of the Rochester Grizzlies, NCAA DIII as an Assistant Coach at Johnson & Wales University, AYHL 13U as an Associate Head Coach for the Ramapo Saints 13U team and the USHS-NJ as the Head Coach of the Montclair Kimberley Academy program.
As a player, Mignone played at the NCAA DIII level, spending two years with Lebanon Valley College from 2006-08 before jumping to DIII Westfield State College from 2008-10. At Lebanon Valley he played in 50 games, tallying 22 points in two seasons, 11 in each. His numbers shot up at Westfield State; in his first season, he played in 24 games and scored nine goals and tallied 13 assists for 22 points. In his final season, while wearing the 'A', he posted 36 points in 26 games, scoring 17 goals and assisting on 19. Following his college playing days, he jumped to the FHL, SPHL and AIHL. In his final season, 2013-14, he won the FHL crown with the Dayton Demonz after posting 37 points in 30 games.
