Cross Country Running

2010: Was a member of the team that helped the Nanooks claim the GNAC Team Academic Champions title; finished 25th in the 8K at the Alaska Nanooks Cross Country Invitational in August with a time of 30:40.9; recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

2009: Was the 11th Nanook finisher with a time of 20:15.6 that helped secure the Nanooks win over Central Washington University in August.


Cross Country Skiing

2010-11: For Morris' junior season, he finished 16th on the second day of the Nordic Cup Series in November in the 8K with a 32:10.6; on the thrid day Morris finished 13th with a 31:53.4; at the CSSA HIlltop Invitational, Morris took 3rd in the 10K Freestyle with a time of 30:34.3 and came away with a 1st place finish in the 10K Classic with a time of 30:00.1; at the Mayor's Challenge Morris finished with pair of 18th places in the 10K Freestyle with a time of 25:38.0 and the 15K Classic with a time of 40:58.2; at the CCSA Conference Championships, he finished 4th place in the 10K Freestyle with a time of 31:11.8 and came away with a 7th place finish in the 20K; Morris' finishes at the Conference Championships landed him with All-CCSA Second Team Honors; Morris was also named to the USCSCA All-Academic Team; was recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

2009-10: Finished 3rd place on the first day of the Nordic Cup Competition; helped his team place second in the Nordic Cup Relay Race; helped his team notch the second spot in the Minnesota Ski Relay; finished 26th in the Mayor's Challenge 10K Freestyle; finished 27th at the Mayor's Challenge in the 15K Classic; took seventh in the CCSA SkiChampionships in the 10 KM Classic.

2008-09: Was 14th at the Alaska Nordic Cup, and placed 23rd at Camp Ripley in the 20K Skate; was 35th in the 10K Classic at the CCSA Regional Championships; William Wood Scholar Athlete.

2007-08: Redshirted his first year with the Nanooks; named to Chancellor's List.

Prior to Alaska: Participated in four years of cross country running and cross country skiing at Dimond High School in Anchorage; named the school's Team MVP for skiing in 2007; was an All-American skier in 2007 and was All-State in skiing for 2006; took 18th place at the Junior Nationals in 2007.

Personal: Son of Steve and Sandy Morris; majoring in Electrical Engineering.
