Prior to joining the Nanooks, Kayla played at Decatur High School in Federal Way, Wash. She earned the Most Inspirational Award in basketball, was a two-time All-League Offensive and Defensive Team selection and was named the Federal Way Athlete of the Year her senior year. She also played soccer and was awarded the Most Inspirational Award, Defensive Award and was an All-League goalkeeper.
