Matt Wilken enters his third season as an assistant coach with Alaska Nanook men's basketball in 2026-27. He joined head coach Frank Ostanik's staff in 2024-25 and returns for another season as the Nanooks continue competing in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC).

Wilken has been part of a coaching staff that has guided Alaska to consecutive GNAC Championship semifinal appearances, including an 87-75 victory over Northwest Nazarene in the 2026 GNAC Championships quarterfinals.

Wilken works alongside Ostanik and the Nanooks coaching staff to support player development, recruiting and the program's day-to-day operations.
