Matt Martino enters his third season as an assistant coach with Alaska Nanooks men's basketball in 2026-27. He joined head coach Frank Ostanik's staff in 2024-25 and returns as the Nanooks continue competing in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC).

Martino has been part of a coaching staff that reached the 2026 GNAC Championships semifinals, including an 87-75 victory over Northwest Nazarene in the quarterfinals.

Martino works alongside Ostanik and the Nanooks coaching staff to support player development, recruiting and the program's day-to-day operations.
