FAIRBANKS - On March 23, 2024 at the Alaksa Nanooks Gold Rush fundraiser event, Usibelli Coal Mine announced a donation of $300,000 to Nanooks athletics for groundbreaking, world-class ski trails to be developed right outside of the Patty Center on UAF's south slope.

This is a huge step towards not only a world-class venue and added community recreation on campus, but the possiblity of hosting future qualifying, regional and national championships right here at UAF!
