Prior to Alaska, Pecchia was with the Western Michigan Broncos in the NCHC. He did not see time with WMU.

Mississauga Chargers (OJHL)
Pecchia played juniors with the Mississauga Chargers in the OJHL. For three seasons he was with the Chargers, playing two full seasons before not playing in the 2020-21 year. In his first season, 2018-19, he played in 20 games, scoring four goals and assisting on two for six points. In his second season, Pecchia wore the 'A' and skated in 44 games. He scored 21 goals, assisted on 29 others and tallied 50 total points. He had 34 penalty minutes on the year. He was named the 2019-20 OJHL Most Improved Player.
