2012-13 as a senior: Led the team offensively with 16 goals and 14 assists in 37 games...Finished his career with 59-61--120, tying him with Dion Knelsen for 17th on the all-time career scoring chart...CCHA All-Conference Second Team...Tied for first in CCHA for game-winning goals with three...Second in CCHA for short-handed points with 1-2--3...Fourth in the CCHA for goal scoring...Seventh in the CCHA with 12-12--24 in 28 league games...Six multi-point games...Season best performance at Alaska Anchorage on Mar. 2, scoring 2-1--3 including the game-winner for a 3-1 triumph that gave the Nanooks their fourth consecutive Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup title...Named one of three alternate captains...Won four awards at the team's end of season banquet; Steve Moria MVP, Keith Street Top Scorer, Top Playoff Performer, and Fan's Choice.

2011-12 as a junior: Named assistant captain...Played in 35 games for the Nanooks this season..Finished second in points for the Nanooks finishing with 26, 12 goals and 14 assists...Had three game winning goals this season...Blocked 23 shots this season...Had seven two-point games this season for the Nanooks...At the conclusion of the season, Taranto garnered Top Playoff Performer Award for the team.

2010-11 as a sophmore: Played in 35 games with the Nanooks this season; leads the team in goals with 13; tied for 1st on the team in power play goals with 5 and game-winning goals with 3; tied for 2nd on team in plus/minus with +10; 2nd on team in shots with 97; named to the CCHA Preseason All-Conference Second Team; first goal and assist of the season were during the 2-1 win against Union Oct. 15; finished the season with 13 goals and 9 assists.

2009-10 as a freshman: Played in all 38 games; earned first two college assists against Mercyhurst on Oc. 10; scored first college goal against Robert Morris on Oct. 16; earned first hat trick for the Nanooks in four years against Ohio State on Feb. 12; earned a hat trick and had five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in the Governor Cup series win; named HCA National Rookie of the month two times; named CCM/CCHA Rookie of the month two times; earned CCM/CCHA Rookie of the Week three times; was a CCM Rookie of the Year Finalist; earned CCHA All-Conference Honorable Mention; named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team; tied 8th in the Conference as Overall Scoring Leader; 1st in the Conference as Freshman Scoring Leader and Hat Tricks; had 23 games with at least one point, 14 being multi-point games.

Prior to Alaska: Played three years in the USHL; 2008-09 awarded team leader in scoring for the season; USHL awarded him Top Goal Scorer in League with 34 goals; named to USHL 2nd team; leading Goal Scoring Streak with 10 goals in 10 consecutive games; had career best of a 9 point weekend, scoring 5 goals and 4 assists in 2 games.
