FAIRBANKS - The Nanooks ski team has announced the addition of Maya Pividori, an Italian skier hailing from Cassacco, Italy.
"We are thrilled to announce Maya's signing with Nanooks skiing," said head coach
Ben Buck. "Maya comes from a strong athletic background in the sport of biathlon. As a freshman who has already competed on the international level, she will add valuable experience to a young women's team roster." Pividori started skiing at nine years old with the ASD Monte Coglians Team. Over the last two years, she has competed in biathlon for the Fiamme Oro Team and represented Italy in the FESA Cup this past season.
This past season, in the U21 category, Pividori picked up four podium finishes, including two gold medals and two bronze medals. These are part of her 12 podium finishes at the Italian National Championships. She studied at Liceo Magrini-Marchetti in Gemona, earning her high school diploma in 2025.
Pividori has a younger sister, Zoe, who is a biathlete as well. In her free time, she enjoys going for walks with her dog Linn and working on crocheting projects.
Additional signings will be released throughout the summer.
