Men’s Hoops Takes on Seawolves in Pack the Patty Game This Saturday

FAIRBANKS – The Nanooks men's basketball team welcomes the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves to the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium for their Pack the Patty and White Out game, with the goal of over 1,000 fans in the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium for our rivalry game against UAA.

Get your tickets now and be a part of the 1,000! Fans who attend Friday's hockey game vs. the Seawolves can get into Saturday's men's basketball game for free by showing that ticket at the ticketing office. Additionally, UAF students who swipe in at the ticket office with their Polar Express ID get free admission to the game and will be entered into a giveaway for a free round-trip Alaska Airlines ticket. The winner will be announced in the second half, and you must be present to win!

Last Time Out
The Nanooks were on the road last week, taking on Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene. They suffered a 101-50 loss to the Wildcats last Thursday, before dropping their game against the Nighthawks 74-68 on Saturday.

Cortarius Mingo led the Nanooks with 13 points vs. the Wildcats, going 4-5 from the field, 1-2 from three and 4-5 from the free throw line. Tyriq Luke added nine points and two assists, while Mike Miller grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.

Against the Nighthawks, the Nanooks trailed by as many as 18 points, but came back to tie the game late. However, their comeback attempt came up short, as they could not take the lead and eventually fell by six. Mike Miller led the team with 16 points and nine rebounds. He went 6-14 from the field and knocked down his two attempts from three. He also tied for the team lead with two assists and had a block.

  • The Nanooks are riding a three-game winning streak over the Seawolves. They swept the season series in 2024-25, earning wins of 76-74 on Jan. 18, 2025, in Anchorage and 70-63 on Feb. 15, 2025, in Fairbanks. Their other win during the streak came on Feb. 3, 2024, when they defeated UAA 65-49.
