FAIRBANKS – The Alaska Nanooks Department of Athletics is reminding fans, alumni, and supporters that only two weeks remain to submit nominations for the Alaska Nanooks Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The deadline to nominate is Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

The Hall of Fame Selection Committee—composed of university staff, former inductees, and community representatives—will review all submissions and select new members to be enshrined in the 12th class of the Alaska Nanooks Hall of Fame. Honorees will be celebrated during an induction ceremony in Fall 2025, with further event details to be announced at a later date.

"This is an exciting time to reflect on the legacy of Nanook Athletics," said Nathan Pearsall, Sports Information Director for the Alaska Nanooks. "We encourage everyone to nominate those individuals who have left a lasting impact on our programs and community."

Since its establishment in 2008, the Alaska Nanooks Hall of Fame has recognized a diverse group of individuals—student-athletes, coaches, staff, and community members—who have elevated the mission of UAF through their excellence and service. Past inductees include standout names like Tyler Kornfield (Cross Country/Ski), Bart LeBon (Men's Basketball), Sue (Murphy) Stanton (Women's Basketball), and the 1993-94 Nanooks rifle team.
