Alaska Falls to Bulldogs in Game Two at the Carlson

FAIRBANKS - The Nanooks hockey team fell to the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs (2-0-0) on Saturday, Oct. 4 to fall to 0-2 on the season.

How it Happened
UMD needed just 18 seconds to score the first goal of the night. Jayson Shaugabay picked up the first goal of the night. 6:10 later, UMD made it 2-0 on a Harper Bentz goal. They eventually added a third in the first period on a Scout Truman goal, his first of two on the night. He'd add another in the third after both teams skated to a scoreless second. Truman's second came on an empty net and made it 4-0 Bulldogs.

Michael Citara picked up his first goal as a Nanook with 16 seconds left in the third, making it a 4-1 final. Citara took a pass from Rylen Roersma and found the back of the net from outside the faceoff circle. Liam Fleet picked up the secondary assist as Fleet and Roersma tallied their first-career points as Nanooks.
