FAIRBANKS - The Nanooks dropped their game against the UAA Seawolves on Saturday afternoon, falling by a final of 72-36. With the loss, Alaska falls to 5-8, 0-5 GNAC.
How it Happened
Destiny Reimers got things going for the Nanooks, posting their first points at the 7:39 mark of the first, tying the game at two. UAA scored the next nine points unanswered before Miranda Lomax and Amelia Brady ended the run with a pair of layups. Reimers and Brady would add two more buckets to bring the deficit to 14-10. However, Alaska could not get things going offensively, and UAA built its lead to 31-15 entering the halftime break.
Jayda Van Dyke was the Nanooks' primary scorer in the third, posting seven points off two layups and a three. However, Alaska still trailed 49-25 entering the fourth despite Taylor Pilot knocking down a jumper as time expired. Reimers drained a pair of threes in the final quarter and Kayla Johnson added another connection from beyond the arc, but the Nanooks fell by 36.

- Destiny Reimers posted a team-high 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting. She also notched team highs with nine rebounds and three blocks.
- Jayda Van Dyke finished with seven points, going 3-of-5 from the floor.
- Taylor Pilot led the team with three assists and three steals while grabbing six rebounds.
- Amelia Brady finished with five points, seven rebounds, a block and a steal.
- The Nanooks shot 26% from the floor and 18.2% from three.
- Alaska was outrebounded 52-40.
