FAIRBANKS - The Nanooks volleyball team has announced their final addition for the upcoming 2024 season. Ava Kronenberg, a 6'0" middle blocker will join the Blue and Gold from Ankeny, Iowa. 

"We consider ourselves very fortunate to have athletes like Ava and the rest of our incoming class joining our team." Said head coach Brian Scott, "Ava is a skilled middle blocker with great lateral speed and is someone who works extremely hard in transition. She has played a very high level coming from a great high school and club program. We look forward to great things from her and all of her teammates." 

Kronenberg will be a freshman in the fall of 2024; she joins the Nanooks from Ankeny Centennial in Iowa and earned CIML All-Conference Honorable Mention honors on the court and the Centennial Student-Athlete Award in 2023. She is the daughter of Gina and Greg and has two siblings; Izzy and Charlie. Her sister, Izzy, plays volleyball at the University of Southern Mississippi. 

She plans to study Biological Sciences at UAF.
