DENVER, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association released its 2024 All-RMISA teams on Wednesday, Feb. 28. The Alaska Nanooks Nordic teams were well-represented as five student-athletes earned honors. 

The women's Nordic team had three named to the teams as Kendall Kramer took home a First-Team honor. Mariel Pulles followed on the Second-Team and Rosie Fordham was named to the Nordic Honorable Mention team. On the men's side, Christopher Kalevand Mike Ophoff both earned men's Nordic Honorable Mention honors. "We are very proud to have five athletes selected for All-RMISA honors." said assistant coach Ben Buck, "This accomplishment is exceptionally impressive given that four of these athletes spent much of the season competing internationally for their home nations, limiting their chances to score more RMISA points. We feel that this demonstrates the true strength of Nanooks Skiing - our ability to provide our athletes with opportunities to prove themselves at the highest level of skiing at the World Cup and World Junior Championships without sacrificing our team's ability to perform in collegiate competition."

All five of these athletes are set to compete at the 2024 NCAA Skiing Championships on March 7 and 9 at Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs, Colo. 

Entering the NCAA Championships, the Nanooks sit in seventh-place for the 2024 regular-season team standings with 958 total points. That is good for sixth in the overall Nordic standings. Both the men's and women's team rank fifth in the individual Nordic standings as well; the men with 440 points and the women with 518 points.
