CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Nanooks rifle team moved to 4-1, 3-1 PRC with their win over the No. 20-ranked Citadel Bulldogs on Thursday morning. The Nanooks bested The Citadel in both the air rifle and smallbore disciplines en route to the win.
In the individual standings, the Nanooks claimed nine of the 10 spots, including spots one through eight.
Rachael Charles took the top spot with an aggregate score of 1187.
Lucie Kissenberger followed in second with an 1186 and Sára Karasová rounded out the top three with an 1184 in her return from the international circuit.
Cecelia Ossi and
Amanda Pettersen followed in fourth and fifth with 1183's of their own.
Elli Spencer was the final Nanooks athlete in the 1180's, taking sixth with an 1182.
Teagan Perkowski (7th, 1177),
Matthew Stout (8th, 1173) and Tobias Bernhoft-Osa (10th, 1157) rounded out the Nanooks in the individual top-10.
The 'Nooks fired a 2357 in smallbore this morning, their second-best discipline score of the season. That bested Citadel's 2237. In the individual smallbore standings, Charles led the way again, shooting a 590-42x. Alaska, once again, took all of the top spots, taking spots one through nine in the smallbore standings. Following Charles in second was Karasová, who fired a 590-38x. Kissenberger and Ossi followed in third and fourth with scores of 589-36x and 588-35x, respectively.
Amanda Pettersen rounded out the top-five with a 587-33x.

Teagan Perkowski and Tobias Bernhoft-Osa were the final shooters for Alaska, taking places six through nine.
In air rifle, the Nanooks outshot the Bulldogs 2385-2327. Four athletes fired a 597 on the day but it was
Elli Spencer who took the top spot with a 597-55x. Kissenberger followed in second with a 597-53x. Meghan Mix of The Citadel fired a 597-47x for third and
Rachael Charles took fourth with her own 597-47x.
Amanda Pettersen and
Cecelia Ossi were the final squad members for Alaska and posted a 596-52x and 595-51x, respectively.
Karasová took seventh with a 594-51x, Perkowski took eighth with a 594-50x, Bernhoft-Osa took ninth with a 589-43x and Stout finished 10th with a 587-36x.
Alaska is back in action tomorrow morning at 4 a.m. AKST at Georgia Southern in a top-three showdown.
