TEMPE, Ariz. - The Nanooks hockey team made it a 20-win season, using four unanswered goals at Mullett Arena to grab a 4-2 win over Arizona State and finish off the sweep of the Sun Devils. Alaska is now 20-10-2 and scored their 12th road victory of the season.
Arizona State got the party started 6:52 into the first period, scoring on a Demetrios Koumontzis power-play tally. Dylan and Ty Jackson were awarded the assists after a flurry of shots in front of the Nanooks crease.Â
Matt Radomsky made a few stops before the loose puck found Koumontzis for the goal. The 1-0 score carried into the second period before Josh Doan tallied another power-play goal for the Sun Devils. Tim Lovell found Koumontzis who then found Doan to Radomsky's right. The one-timer beat Radomsky in net and made it 2-0 ASU.
Alaska finally broke through 8:27 into the second whenÂ
Garrett Pyke found the back of the net from near the wall outside of the faceoff circle.Â

Connor Mylymok grabbed the assists on Pyke's goal. Just over 10 minutes later,Â
Chase Dubois found the equalizer with only 1:02 remaining in the second.Â

Arvils Bergmaniswith a cross-ice pass. After taking the puck around ASU's net, Bergmanis found Dubois slashing to the front of the net for the shot and goal, tying it up at 2-2. The tie lasted into the third until a few minutes past the midway point. ASU's Lovell was ejected for a cross-check, giving Alaska a five-minute major. Despite the advantage and six shots-on-goal, the Nanooks could not capitalize. Four seconds after the power play ended, however, the 'Nooks did find the back of the net.Â
Simon Falk tallied the game-winner 12:29 into the third.Â
Markuss Komuls picked up his lone-point of the night and Mylymok tallied his second assist. Falk was not done there. 17:25 into the third, he put the icing on the cake, beating ASU netminder, TJ Semptimphelter one more time, making it a 4-2 Nanooks' lead.Â

The 20-win season is the first for Alaska since the 2001-02 season when a Guy Gadowsky-led team went 22-12-3, 15-10-3 CCHA.Â
Alaska now returns home for their regular-season finale against Lindenwood on Friday and Saturday, March 3-4 at the Carlson Center. Both nights will start at 7:07 p.m. AKT.Â
