FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks Department of Athletics is excited to announce information for the upcoming 2023 Usibelli Coal Mine (UCM) Gold Rush Reverse Raffle, hosted in the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium at the Patty Center.
The event, set to take place on Saturday, March 25, 2023, will run as a fundraiser for the Department of Athletics through a "reverse raffle" with a grand prize of $5,000 and many other chances to take home cash and swag prizes! The Department of Athletics will be selling a maximum of 300 individual tickets for $100 each. Each ticket admits one person. The UCM Gold Rush Reverse Raffle will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium and will include numerous games and ongoing silent and live auctions throughout the night. Food and drinks will be available for all in attendance. Business casual wear recommended.
The live auction and reverse raffle drawings will officially begin at 7:00 p.m. while the games and silent auction items continue through to the end of the night when winners will be announced.
What is a Reverse Raffle?
Tickets for the event are sold the same as any other event, but the difference is that we will be drawing all the tickets throughout the night for prizes periodically, with a final grand prize $5,000. As opposed to a traditional raffle event, each ticket drawn is eliminated and/or wins a swag item. The final five tickets remaining will have a chance of being a part of the grand prize.
We will have cash and other prizes available for all drawings at different levels.
