The Nanooks are looking to get off of a five-game slide after winning their season-opener over Hawaii Pacific on Nov. 10 in Fairbanks. Since then, the Nanooks have fallen to Chaminade, Colorado State Univ. Pueblo twice, Cal State Monterey Bay and Cal State East Bay. CSUMB and CSUEB were the Nanooks' latest opponents, coming over Thanksgiving weekend in the Bay Area. They fell to the Otters on Nov. 24, 83-64 before falling to the Pioneers a day later, 76-52.

- Abdullahi Mohamed leads the way offensively for the Nanooks as the senior is posting 15.6 points per game while shooting 40.7% from the floor, 82.1% from the free-throw line and adding a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game. He leads the team with four blocked shots.
- While still early in the season, TJ Doman is leading the way for the 'Nooks through six games with a 57.9% clip from the field. He's added 18 rebounds (3.0/game), one assist, block and steal as well.
- The 'Nooks are outrebounding their opponents 36.8 to 31.2, their +5.7 rebounding margin is 66th in the nation and third in the GNAC.
- Paul Johnson is leading the Nanooks from three-point range with nine made three-pointers this season. He's shooting 39.1% from deep and is one of two Nanooks shooting over 30% from three. Jaycson Bereal, Jr. is shooting 42.9% from three (3-7).
- Nick Hopkins leads the team in total rebounds with 36 through six games - he's second on the 'Nooks with 6.0 rebounds per game.
D2CSC West Region
Four GNAC teams appeared in the week three D2CSC West Region Top-10 on Monday, Nov. 27. Saint Martin's leads the way, receiving all six first-place votes while Alaska Anchorage follows in fifth, Central Washington follows in seventh and Western Washington came in at 10.

What's to Come
The Nanooks will open their GNAC schedule up this week before heading into the holiday break. They'll not play for 15 days until they face Hawaii Hilo on Dec. 17 and San Francisco State on Dec. 18. That will wrap-up their 2023 schedule and they'll open up 2024 with Alaska Anchorage at home on Jan. 6.
