Last Time Out
The 'Nooks are coming off of a split on the road at Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene. They fell in game one of the road-trip at #19 CWU in straight sets as the Wildcats got the Nanooks back after Alaska knocked-off the ranked Wildcats earlier this season in Fairbanks. The Nanooks got their own revenge later on the trip at Northwest Nazarene as the 'Nooks took a four-set win over the Nighthawks. Earlier in the season, NNU knocked-off the Nanooks in Fairbanks.

- The Nanooks are 70th in the country in aces per set with an average of 1.86. They are 51st in blocks per set (2.15) and 52nd in team kills (1,382).
- Alaska is in the top-50 for two categories; team assists and team aces. They are 45th in aces with 208 this year and 45th in assists with 1,290 this season.
- Josie Jansen and Kristina Head have proven time and time again this season they're two of the best at the net in the nation and in the GNAC. They are ranked 90th (Jansen) and 91st (Head) in the nation in blocks per set as both are averaging 0.99/set. Jansen is eighth in the GNAC and Head is ninth.
- They are both in the top-85 for total blocks. Jansen and her 102 blocks is 60th/4th in the nation and GNAC while Head is 85th/6th with 97 blocks.
- Karli Nielson is 108th in the nation and second in the GNAC with 328 kills this season. She is averaging 2.93 kills/set, good for sixth in the conference.
- Alaska Anchorage swept the Nanooks earlier this season on Sept. 7 as part of the Denali State Bank Ice Block Classic hosted in Fairbanks.
- The 'Nooks are looking for their first win at Anchorage since March 27, 2021. That win snapped a decade of losing at UAA.
Chasing Records
Karli Nielson and
Rilee White are both chasing the top-10 in career kills at Alaska. Nielson is currently at 817 kills and White is at 731. Tara Hollenbeck (1998-01) is 10th in Nanooks volleyball history with 832 kills. White is also creeping up on the top-10 for career digs. She's currently at 795. Jenny Mendl (1999-02) is 11th in program history with 908 and Jamie Schanback (2000-02) is 10th with 940.
Ainsley Smith is officially now 10th in Alaska Nanooks' history for total assists. The redshirt-sophomore is up to 1260 assists and is chasing Dasa Capova (2003-04) who is ninth with 1277 career assists for the Nanooks.
Josie Jansen's 95 block assists this season puts her third in a single-season. She beat out her teammate,
Elizabeth Jackson, who posted 94 in 2022.
