FAIRBANKS - The Alaska Nanooks hockey program announced the return of the Parayko Hockey Camp in July and announced they will host their annual Edgeboss Camp in August. 

The Parayko Hockey Camp will be held in Fairbanks from Monday, July 18 through Thursday, July 21 at the Patty Ice Arena on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. The camp will feature four different groups led by former Alaska Nanooks hockey player and current St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko. The proceeds for the Parayko Hockey Camp will be benefit the Alaska Nanooks hockey program.

Members of the Alaska Nanooks hockey coaching staff, former NCAA Division I and professional hockey players will round out the instructing staff.

What To Bring:

• Full hockey gear (sticks, helmets, shoulder pads, elbow pads, pants, shin pads, skates, gloves, mouthguard, socks, under gear apparel)
• Water bottle
• Inhaler (if needed)
• Snack for before or after ice time
• A positive attitude!

Additional Information:

• All registration must be done online through the camp website prior to the first day of camp, no walk-up registration will be accepted.
• Payment must be done online through the camp website with a credit or debit card, or campers may bring a cashier's check to the first day. Cash, personal checks and credit cards will not be accepted on the first day of camp.
• The deadline for refunds will be 5pm AKT on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
• All campers must have a parent/guardian and their contact information listed in case of emergency
• Each camper & their parent/guardian must have completed the liability waiver and the media release waiver prior to the first day of camp.
• Under no circumstance will a camper be allowed on the ice until they have made their payment and both liability waivers have been accounted for.

Schedule:

• Group A (14U Boys & Girls): 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
• Group B (12U Boys & Girls): 9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
• Group C (10U Boys & Girls): 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
• Group D (8U Boys & Girls): 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

On the first day please check in at least 30 minutes prior to your ice time.

The Nanooks hockey program will host their annual Edgeboss Camp from Monday, August 8 through Thursday, August 11 at the Patty Ice Arena on the campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Current Alaska Nanook coaches and players will be present to work with all age groups.

Edgeboss Camp

• Develop skills and fundamentals under the supervision of current and past Alaska Nanook players and coaches.
• Improve: skating, puck handling, goal scoring, passing, confidence
• Use new state of the art Edgeboss apparatuses designed to improve puck control. These are the same techniques NHL teams use, along with the Alaska Nanooks to get ready for the upcoming season.

What To Bring:

• Full hockey gear
• Workout clothes (shorts, shirts, shoes, etc.)
• positive attitude

Camp Features:

• Two 45 minute on-ice training sessions daily with Alaska Hockey coaching staff and players.
• One 45 minute of Ice workout daily with Nanook players. Off ice workouts will include conditioning, agility, games and other fun activities.
