PLYMOUTH, Mich. - The Alaska Nanooks hockey team officially ended their 2021-22 season with a loss to the United States National Under-18 Team in an exhibition game. The USNTDP U18 team knocked off Alaska 2-5.
The U.S. National U18 Team got on the board first as Cole Spicer posted an even-strength goal 11:01 into the first. The National Development Team added another 14:31 into the first as Frank Nazar III scored on Alaska goalie,
Daniel Allin.
Arvils Bergmanis got the 'Nooks on the board with a goal only 27 seconds later, making it 1-2.
Didrik Henbrant was awarded the lone-assist on Bergmanis' goal. 2:07 later, the USNTDP added a third first-period goal. This time it was Charlie Stramel.
The Development Team tallied the lone goal in the second period as Cutter Gauthier scored 13:24 into the middle stanza, making it 1-4 U18.

Brady Risk tallied an even-strength goal to pull the Nanooks within two. The Development Team put away Alaska with 3:12 remaining as Ryan Chesley scored on an empty-net, making it a 2-5 final.
Daniel Allin played 40 minutes in net, stopping 15 of the 19 shots on goal.
Austin Ryman played 18:33 in goal and stopped all 10 shots on goal.
