FAIRBANKS – The Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup is just around the corner and the Alaska Nanooks have announced their Dec. 9-10 in-venue entertainment for their two-game weekend with the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves in town.
A pair of bands will headline this weekend's games against UAA with the Casey Smith Project kicking off the weekend on Friday, Dec. 9. The Casey Smith Project are a soulful indie-rock trio based in Fairbanks. Originally formed in 2016, CSP's love of tape delay and modulated synthesizers has remained constant throughout their exploration of different sounds and styles-melodic compositions that are both dreamy and danceable, laboriously combining lo-fi indie grooves with classic pop.
Their debut album,
Lose Face is available on both vinyl or on all streaming platforms. They have two new singles;
Red Carpet and
Never Gonna Let It Go available on all digital platforms. You can stay up to date on all of their music on their website at
