DULUTH, Minn. – The Alaska Nanooks were swept by the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs on Nov. 27, 2021. The Nanooks fought for 60 minutes, but after heading to OT, the Bulldogs won it 1-0, only 28 seconds into the extra period.
This loss drops the Nanooks to 1-11-0 on the season. Freshman goalie
Daniel Allin got the start in net for the Nanooks and posted a great night, stopping all 33 shots-on-goal through regulation. He made eight saves in the first, nine in the second and 16 in the third, but one squeaked its way through in the extra period, giving UMD the win. Noah Cates found the back of the net in OT.
Jakob Breault was the best Nanook in the faceoff circle tonight, winning 14 of his 20 bouts.
Arvils Bergmanis collected four blocked-shots in the game.
The Nanooks will take time off as they head into another bye-week before returning home for a four-game series with RPI on Dec. 10-11, 14-15 to end their 2021 home-schedule.
