FAIRBANKS – The Alaska Nanooks volleyball team sent seven seniors off into the sunset on Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Patty Center. They swept the Western Oregon Wolves to end the regular-season.
The Nanooks only needed three to take care of the Wolves on Saturday, winning 25-12, 27-25 and 25-23. While a sweep, the Wolves put up a fight. Alaska outhit WOU in sets one and three, .226 to -.107 and .233 to .200, but in the middle-set, WOU posted a .294 to Alaska's .250. In the second-set, the Nanooks posted 20 kills, winning the longest set of the night, 27-25.

AveRee Reynolds and
Lahra Weber on the offensive side, as they posted 12 and 11 kills, respectively.
Cate Whiting had an impressive 42 assists in the straight-set win.
Dani Dodge led the way with 12 digs.
Sophie Schilling posted three blocks, a game-high for the Nanooks.
