FAIRBANKS – The Alaska Nanooks volleyball team sent seven seniors off into the sunset on Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Patty Center. They swept the Western Oregon Wolves to end the regular-season.

The Nanooks only needed three to take care of the Wolves on Saturday, winning 25-12, 27-25 and 25-23. While a sweep, the Wolves put up a fight. Alaska outhit WOU in sets one and three, .226 to -.107 and .233 to .200, but in the middle-set, WOU posted a .294 to Alaska's .250. In the second-set, the Nanooks posted 20 kills, winning the longest set of the night, 27-25.

Alaska was led by seniors AveRee Reynolds and Lahra Weber on the offensive side, as they posted 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Cate Whiting had an impressive 42 assists in the straight-set win. Dani Dodge led the way with 12 digs. Sophie Schilling posted three blocks, a game-high for the Nanooks.
