Last Time Out
The Nanooks are riding a three-game losing-streak and look to change the course of their season this week with #19 Western Washington and Simon Fraser in town. Last week they fell in five to both Montana State Billings and Seattle Pacific. On Thursday, Oct. 21, the Nanooks fell to the reverse-sweep after taking the first two sets. They dropped the next three despite 14 kills from
Lahra Weber, 11 from
AveRee Reynolds and 10 from
Emily Moorhead.
The Nanooks dropped the next match at Seattle Pacific, also in five. Weber had herself another solid game, posting 16 kills. Following this week and weekend, the Nanooks will have three home games remaining. Nov. 13-20 will see Alaska host UAA, Saint Martin's and Western Oregon.
There's No Place Like Home
The Nanooks hold a 7-1 record on their home court at the Alaska Airlines Gymnasium in the Patty Center. They are one of five GNAC teams with one or less losses on their home court.
