In set one, SPU jumped out to a quick 3-7 lead, giving Alaska an early deficit. A point making it 6-10 sparked a huge run from the 'Nooks, as Alaska rallied off eight-straight points and 11 of the next 13 points, taking a 16-12 lead. SPU made a small run of their own but another attack-error making it 21-21 gave Alaska the final momentum swing as they ended on a 5-0 run, winning 25-21. SPU took set two 21-25. Alaska battled back from an early deficit to take a 15-14 lead, but SPU grabbed it back and won the set.

Alaska played from behind again in set number three, kicking-off their run after trailing 5-8. Alaska responded with five-straight, taking a 10-5 lead. The Falcons took the lead back before the 'Nooks ran out to a 19-16 lead, taking set three, 25-19.

Seattle Pacific stole a hard-fought set four as Alaska had a hold of a 23-21 lead, late, before SPU rattled-off four-straight, stealing the set-win, 23-25. In the fifth and final set SPU and Alaska traded runs before Seattle Pacific found and kept the lead until winning it 11-15.
