Nanooks of the Week
Female: Anja Maijala, Ski – While the Championships were canceled, Maijala had a strong enough season to qualify for the 2020 NCAA Skiing Championships, her first appearance. 
 
Male: Tristan Sayre, Ski – Sayre, the lone senior to qualify for the 2020 NCAA Skiing Championships for the Nanooks, will end his career with what would have been his first NCAA Skiing Championships. 
 
EVENT CANCELATIONS
Due to the COVID-19 public health threat, the Alaska Nanooks athletic department and the University of Alaska Fairbanks have canceled these upcoming events. 

• Student-Athlete Dodgeball on March 18
• Nanook Olympics on March 21
• Biathlon Basics Camp on March 18
• Alaska Nanooks involvement in Mush for Kids (Event is not fully canceled, however we as a department will not be participating)

Nothing past March 31 has been canceled or postponed yet.

Spring Break Update
The University of Alaska Fairbanks has added another week to the 2020 spring break schedule. Students and student-athletes will not resume their classes until March 23. When classes continue, they will be delivered in alternate ways.
