DENVER, Colorado – The Alaska Nanooks Nordic ski team concluded their weekend in the Denver Invitational with both the men's and women's teams finishing in seventh.
In the Women's 5-km Classic,
Mariel Pulles finished first for the Nanooks in 13
th with a time of, 10:02.6. Behind her,
Anja Maijala,
Catherine Reed-Metayer and Hannah Deuling finished 18
th, 23
rd and 24
th with times of 18:20.4, 19:00.5 and 19:05.5. Sara Olson and Rya Berrigan rounded up the pack for Alaska finishing in 30
th and 31
st.
In the Women's 7.5-km Freestyle Pursuit,
Anja Maijala finished in 14
th with a time of 41:23.5.
Mariel Pulles and Hannah Deuling finished 18
th and 22
nd with times of 41:37.2 and 43:10.4.
Sarah Olson and Rya Berrigan finished 27
th and 28
th.
In the Men's 10-km Classic,
Tristan Sayre finished 14
th with a time of, 31:27.6. Following him,
Logan Mowry finished in 16
th with a time of 31:53.0.
Christopher Kalev and Luk Patil finished 21
st and 23
rd with times of 32:36.6 and 32:58.1.
Mike Ophoff and
Patrick Marbacher finished in 25
th and 30
th.
In the Men's 10-km Freestyle Pursuit,
Logan Mowry and
Tristan Sayre finished 14
th and 15
th with times of 58:19.9 and 58:20.7.
Mike Ophoff,
Christopher Kalev and Luk Patil finished 21
st-23
rd with times of 59:53.1, 1:00:07.6 and 1:00:52.6.
Patrick Marbacher finished 29
th.
The Alaska Nanooks Nordic ski team will be heading back to Colorado on Feb. 8-9
th to compete in the RMISA Nordic Qualifier.
